Steel Legion Jayce

My interpretation of Jayce in a "Steel Legion" themed skin. With Steel Legion Garen being my favourite skin, (thanks IronStylus!) I decided to make the same-themed skin for Jayce, another champion whom I like alot.

My first goal was to make him seem like he was wearing a similar suit of armour to Garen, however incorporate small thematic elements that Jayce has that identify him as a character. I also felt that a scouter would serve as a future/apocalpytic piece of gear that would just add to the theme that he's here to fight and "clean up the mess".

My second goal was to design a weapon that felt very futuristic, but have that very "Piltover" aesthetic that all the weapons and machines have. Additionally, I wanted to break the norm of Jayce's Hammer being, well, a Hammer, and his Cannon being a "Hammer that shoots things". After finding a few sources of ideas and inspiration I came up with the simple idea to make his Hammer a large, heavy-ended blunt weapon...One that could logically apply the same force as his current hammer, no matter how you swing it, and one that would also look simple, yet extremely threatening. More is less, right?

When transformed into his "Cannon" form however, I wanted to break the current Cannon-mode theme, and literally transform his massive club into a fully-formed and functioning electric rifle. Bullets are overrated anyways. The tip of the gun and all the knobs around it's circumference aren't barrels, but rather, "Magnetic Pulse Converters (or MPC's)", simply put, magnetic knobs that take otherwise invisible currents of electricity and force, and transform it into raw, exposed Kinetic/Force energy. Power like that doesn't come easily though, which is why the gun has a battery lodged inside it (disguised as a magazine).

-----SPELLS (IN DEPTH)-----

Auto attacks: HAMMER FORM: Jayce swings his Hammer, occasionally Jayce will do a strong two-handed forehand swing and spin himself with momentum. If uninterrupted, Jayce continues to spin around and use that momentum for another attack. On Critical Strike, Jayce bashes his arms forward with the weapon, like a blunt "THUD".

Auto attacks: CANNON FORM: Jayce's Cannon generates Energy only from the center MPC (as depicted in the "CANNON W Illustration") making a much smaller and faster force of energy. On the rare occasion, Jayce softly bumps the gun up in his hands (the same kind of movement when trying to hold it in a more comfier fit) for a split second between uninterrupted auto attacks. On Critical Strike, Jayce puts a lot of "OOMPH" and emphasis into his shoulder and arm movements, like as if the gun recoil is a lot stronger.

HAMMER Q "To the Skies!": Heavy armour doesn't fly easily! That's why for this ability, Jayce's boots give a short rocket burst to give him easily lift off. His Hammer also leaves a trail of golden-light. Unlike other skins, Jayce doesn't flip mid-air for this ability, he is simply too large and heavy to be able to do that.
CANNON Q "Shock Blast": For Shock blast, all MPC's generate a larger-than-usual Ball of energy.

HAMMER W "Lightning Field": With Jayce's new technology in his suit, his Lightning Field is like a Tesla ball.
CANNON W "Hyper Charge": For Hyper Charge, Jayce's 2 Pipes on his back start venting out at a high pressure (for the duration of the buff).

HAMMER E "Thundering Blow": Jayce swings his weapons with a whalloping force, throwing the weight into one arm like usual. however a feint blur of the golden-light is left behind in the swing's trail.
CANNON E "Acceleration Gate": For the acceleration gate, the "stands" are just rectangular-prism shaped packs that emit 3 thin streams of blue-light.
